Air intake on CU engine?

Post by volks_womble »

Whilst poking about in the engine bay this afternoon, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be any pipe work attached to the air intake...

Can anyone show me what should be here? Should there be ducting, or an airbox or filter?

Cheers

ribbed plastic pipe missing, goes to r/h side of bay and collects cold air intake. Warm air is drawn from cyls through tinware and enters under plastic mushroom area when engine is cold to stop carb icing and poor running

It should have a plastic ducting to pick up cool air from the air intake area, tied here.
