Van wont start.

Hi guys..Need an vdub auto electrician in Bristol..Have replaced starter motor replaced bush.Changed ignition switch.The van sometimes starts then nothing.Have been told might need the solenoid from switch wire replacing..Please help,I need my van back.

Try removing the solenoid trigger red black wire with spade connection from starter and using a suitable piece of wire connect from the main m8 bolt direct to the trigger conndction on the starter, be careful, if it triggers everytime then yes ignition switch to solenoid red black is likely shot.
first try cutting off the spade and making a new connection, if wires are black use wet and dry to clean up the strands before crimping a new spade on
you can fit a relay to bypass this rather than replacing wire, or cut it back as far as possible and join a new piece, problem is usually corrosion at the starter end
