My camper was converted by Underhill and Young, in 1986, aparently now defunct. It's a nicely appointed conversion with a high top and well thought out cupboards inside.
Anyone else got one?
I've never seen another one - it had 'Galaxy' decals on a 2" wide stripe down the side, and a ladder on the back, a louvre panel over the rear window, and a storage rack on the rear roof panel.
Anyone else got an Underhill and Young 'Galaxy' conversion?

Re: Anyone else got an Underhill and Young 'Galaxy' conversion?
I have one! I bought it in April. It has Galaxy 2 down the side but this is all i know about the conversion.

Some details about mine here http://www.martinkgray.com/vw-campervan/
but check out the video from the seller which shows the interior and exterior better than i could.

It seams very well converted but showing signs of age now. I wish the hightop roof had a skylight and i wish i had a ladder to get up to the luggage rack but other than that it is a good conversion. Is yours a 4 birth too? Very keen to hear about how similar/dissimilar they are.

Just a quick reply now as am snowed under at work.
Mine is quite different, although I think the roof is the same. Mine has two cupboards front and back rather than sleeping facility up there, so two berth, and I have a Panaramic (brand) glass sunroof, in keeping with the period (aftermarket extra which were popular in the eighties).
The interior cupboards are different too, but I like your open shelves at the back, mine has a 'boot locker' with a sticky door.
Mine's auto and now has power steering.
I must try and get some photos up.
