smev hob
Thinking of rebuilding my interior over the winter. I have been looking at those smev hob/sink that have the fold down glass covers over them. They look nice and slick but are they any good for cooking on? Is the flame hot enough is it like cooking on a candle?
If in doubt give it a clout!

Re: smev hob
I have a 3 ringer, 1 small and 2 large burners.
My wife cooked dinner for 11 on it with no problems.

Re: smev hob
But how would you cope without a grill?
I can't imagine what kind of half-arsed camper configuration wouldn't have a grill.

Re: smev hob
My single ring one takes a while to boil a kettle...and is also too small for even a medium size frying pan...so there's something to consider

I tend to only use a wok. I do need to put a wind shield around it though, can take a bit too long if its breezy!
