NOS Instrument PCB

Post by marlinowner »

Thought I would flag up the fact that NOS PCBs are available from VW Heritage Classic Parts. They are for the latter 14-way connector and rev counter. Interestingly they don't have the buzzer of doom circuitry for the second oil pressure switch. I have just fitted one, there are a couple of minor details to be overcome - the LEDs for ignition etc have to be transferred over without the black plastic holders, they just plug into individual sockets on the PCB, and the mounting for the voltage regulator is different - centre leg is not connected, regulator is grounded via heatsink.
However all works fine, I will probably fit an oil pressure gauge or possibly hard wire the oil warning buzzer.

Part number is 255 919 059 A

Including VAT.
I know it sounds steep for a bit of plastic, but if your existing one is far gone and you've tried mending it without success it's not a bad option.
