what is this part?

Not used the van for couple of weeks, pulled out and this had fallen off from underneath.

It's a T25 with a 1.9 diesel engine

Can anybody tell me what it is please? (I'm a bit clueless)

E D I T- I presume it fell off, but I suppose could have been kicked underneath it from off the road?

I have never seen anything like that on my van with a diesel engine. That reverse spline type bolt makes me think it's not VW as they never used those bolts back when our vans came about. Unless you have a newer 1.9tdi?

Never seen anything like that on my 1.9 either.
Looks like it was made in 2002 though - what are the other marks and numbers on it? Possibly Japanese characters next to the 02?

Not sure, but could be a £1 coin? Maybe fell out of your pocket when you pulled your keys out.

looks like a top radiator holder off a vauxhall possible combo van but can't remember, i agree it does not look like veedub.

Nothing has a torx on a T25 so it's unlikely it's off your van, also don't know of any brackets cast like that either, as above , radiator bracket

I am now 99.9% sure someone must have kicked it off the road under the van at some point. I feel confident it isn't off the van
