Dan I have just sent you two pm's that Martin sent to me in September. I eventually got round to it about two weeks ago, including nightbreaker plus bulbs. Wow! Maybe cost me up to £40 with bulbs and new cables but certainly worthwhile.

My friend gave me one of these ebay kits, worked perfectly but ensure the main supply + goes to a good power source and the earth is good. Think it cost him £12 in all, cabling is all good and relays look to be good quality after having a look inside. Most relays are manufactured abroad in the far east anyway and in my time being an auto-sparky the french and vw group relays are the worst imo

Over the years I've seen and read several different versions on how owners have 'relayed' their headlamps, mine is just one way.
IMO .. if you are going to do this mod then you might as well go the whole hog, right to the bulbs, this way you are going to illuminate all the voltage drop and not just some of it.
At the same time I was conscious of NOT destroying or tampering with any of the original wiring loom (so it can be reverted back in the future if necessary).
The way I did mine doesn't cut into or alter any part of the original setup (it uses the originally wiring merely to switch the new relays, however, as a consequence is it isn't the neatest but the excess wires are all hidden behind the lamps and can't be seen.
Mine is a later square 4 lamp setup (these suffer the most on the old wiring, given the extra two bulbs being illuminated on full beam). The diagram can be adapted but is rated for this heavier circuit.
After originally posting the 4 lamp diagram, I think it was Bren who pointed out the possible need for redundancy, so the diagram was redesigned and now there are two completely independent circuits (dip & Full) so if one fails you still have the other.....This was a wise inclusion, thanks Bren.
The write-up wasn't so much a write-up but a 'what I did' as the original thread and its participants (at that time) asked questions, so I fear it might not be that clear with it being a bit fragmented. If I have time I will pull it altogether properly and make it easier to understand. I did take some pictures but not of everything.
One thing is clear though...whichever modification you choose to follow, it will be the best use of your time and money guaranteed.
