Temperature gauge 1.6 diesel.

Post by Saskwach »

New to T25 and I am having issues with Temperature gauge. The gauge will be steady for a while then the light starts flashing and the needle skips to the end. Sometimes returns and sometimes doesn't. Recently happening after only a few minutes driving. Have had a new radiator put in as old one holed. Coolant level seems to stay same. warm air coming from front blowers when switched on.
Am I overheating or have I got electric gremlins somewhere?
Any ideas as I am clueless.

Check out this post in the Wiki which tells you what is going on with the flashing light etc

If the needle is going to full hot and the light is flashing after only a few mins then that would suggest that it's not actually the coolant that is overheating but that it might be electrical gremlins ..... read the above and let us know if that helps any?
