Well cleaned these up to refit
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2887_zpsfotelook.jpg)
i have taken templates so can now offer them in 1.5mm steel.
i questioned wether they do any good and can confirm that with them in place and the outer wing cut away i was suprised how mmuch rigidity they gave to the inner panel, i then removed them and it was just floppy,so yes they do stiffen it up considerably and no doubt vw in their wisdom thought so too
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2888_zpsh945u9cm.jpg)

it is now very well mounted and secure

Re: The GASWAGON (act III)
Well you enjoy "hanging" around today
made the new one look like a new one even though it had to be repainted and treated
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2916_zpskhcgh9zp.jpg)
slight work needed on the hole placement
eeeeelongations
but now fitted and looks really good , the rubber straking strip really suits
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/999962b2-43f7-42ab-8743-445e24c0870a_zpsd0c9e84b.jpg)
now when you start hooking up your caravan, try to get it right and not do the same to the new bumper, yes i know the rubber strip will help but......
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2920_zpsq75oa0ey.jpg)
shed damage
now there are the swan neck tow bars and there are these
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2918_zpsefllmsyj.jpg)
the vw bumpers is for the former
so i had to modify to fit,not a lot but enough to clear. so what should have been an hours work turned into 2. live and learn
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2919_zps1mpofzsu.jpg)
getting there nicely
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/gaswagon%203/IMAG2921_zpsqxp0qnkt.jpg)
dream of hols, pepper and onion picked a minute ago along with toms and courgettes + fresh pasta,
![Image](http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/metulman/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG2922_zpsrm8qkbue.jpg)
but slumming it here
still no site fees
