You should be able to buy it in your local camping shop.

I used it on a small tear about 3 years ago and it is still working well.

When I had a long canvas tear, I carefully sewed it together and then glued some canvas on the inside. That proved effective for about four years until I replaced it with a new canvas.

This is the stuff I used. eBay 231182565020 It's self adhesive. You stick a piece on both sides of the canvas.

It's been on for about 3 years and we slept with the roof up over new year when we have extreme rain and wind.

'Gorilla tape' off amazon, its like gaffa tape but 10x stronger and stickier. Completely waterproof. I patched up my skylight last year and its still on, working well.

these are all great ideas...i think if i can't get a canvas patch to match i will give the stitching then use that tape or tear aid.

thanks for the tips :D

Fiamma do repair strips for awnings which might work well too.

:ok

just an update i went to my local tent and awning repair clinic..and he had a close matching canvas in grey £3 plus £4 for canvas glue.
So the plan is to glue a long strip both sides of rip then sew with someone on the inside and me on the outside and hopefully job done.

thanks for tips guys
