Now im sure this has been done to death - and im expecting people to say use the search etc - but with over 190pages to look through im hoping someone might be able to help me quicker
Im looking ot replace all 4 tyres on my t25, currently r17 40, which are the most uncomfortable ride ever lol. so im wondering what tyres people are running on a camper that has been lowered. cos I don't think my back can take the punishment of running low profile tyres, would changing to 45's make much difference, as not sure I really want to go up to 50's or is this the best way to go.
thanks in advance

Re: What tyres
What actual tyres sizes are you running??
17" is so big that you wont have space in the arches for anything with a much bigger sidewall and also gearing will be effected..
Dropping to 16" is better.. 15" better still
Bare in mind tha the std size for these vans was 185r14, which has a diameter of 650mm..
Also.. need to keep in mind the load rating of the tyres.. there is a wheel and tyre section in the mechanical area..

Re: What tyres
Brilliant thanks for your help.
there was 17" alloys on the van when I brought her. which I don't really wanna change as I quite like the look with them on. but the 40mm profile is just really rough, with it being lowered as well.
so guess I probably wont be bale to go to much more than 45mm then, but I reckon that has got to be comfier than what I have at the minute.
will look in the mechanical area now.

Re: What tyres
The profile isn't millimetres, it's a %age of the tread width.batesy16 wrote:there was 17" alloys on the van when I brought her. which I don't really wanna change as I quite like the look with them on. but the 40mm profile is just really rough, with it being lowered as well.

Re: What tyres
It might help to say what width and offset(ET) the alloys are so we can give you an idea what tyres will best suit your van?
If they're 7.5" wide then 225/50/17's will be perfect and they are load rated to 98(750kgs)...more than enough for a T25.
215/55/17's can also be used and they're also available in 98 load rating.
But....are the alloys load rated to at least 650kgs each?
