Fitting advice needed.

Post by Brendon »

Hi all, I've just purchased some ml alloys 16x6.5 with 255 65 r16 tyres. Will these fit straight on if not what are your recommendations for the most user friendly set up that will give decent ride quality.

My camper is running standard height with b4 shocks and I don't intend on lowering it as I quite like the "per runner" look.

Thanks in advance.

No, you will need as a minimum a 10mm spacer on each wheel.
Do a search on here and you'll find loads of info.

:ok

If you can afford it go for 20mm spacers - the wheels fill the arches up very nicely.

I used these for the rear when fitting my ML's...

saves a lot of messing !! 15 mm hub centric spacers on the front.

215/65 I think.
They are 5% oversize, my standard JX just managed.
The 2.0 ADY loves it.

The ones that I have are 20mm, on the front I used 20mm spacers and brickyards stud converters.

With these wheels and tyres on my speedo now reads 100% spot on... when checked against sat nav, IE 70MPH on dash reads 70MPH on sat nav, no more having to do calculations in my head if I am going through average speed check camera's. It always over read before ( as every manufacturer intends them too)

Thanks for all the advice :ok
I now have my wheels fitted but went with 10mm spacers for now and 215 60 r16 99xl tires and it makes a hell of a difference. :D
Thanks again.
