1981 Autohomes query

Evening all,

Just a little curiosity about the history of my camper van.

It is a 1981 Autohomes camper (came with some documentation stating it was Autohomes and the interior is an exact match to various on-line resources.

However it has a hightop, which is not mentioned in any literature. The hightop it has does not look like the later Autohomes version. Would the hightop have been retro-fitted? Was this a popular route to take?

Im guessing yours is a autohomes kamper, all of these have had or will have roof problems (damp/rot) so most of them have already had the roofs swaped.
