I've searched the wiki and other online forums, searched google and the usual auction sites...does anyone know what these alloys are??
The seller doesn't seem to know other than they were taken off a mid 80's Caravelle and required no spacers or longer studs to fit.
They are stamped 6Jx14 H2
Perhaps they're South African Carat 2 or Starburst.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted...
Cheers

Re: Mystery alloys
Anyone know they're suitability in terms of weight rating for a T25?
Also info on the offset would help.
Cheers

Re: Mystery alloys
If...and I mean if...they're AZEV(not the best of photos so I can't say for sure)...all the wheel details including size,ET etc will be either under the centre cap or stamped into the back of the wheels..

Re: Mystery alloys
Part numbers and sizes would help narrow it down.
Could be Remotec/Artec. They look too hard edged for an Azev A.

Re: Mystery alloys
Would seem they are BWA...
Does anyone have any experience of these?
Offset within range. Any need for spacers?
How about their suitability weight wise?

Re: Mystery alloys
As they're 6"X14" and ET39 they'll need 6mm-10mm spacers plus longer rear studs and front bolts(or stud conversion) to match the standard T3 Carat 6"X14" ET30 alloy set up.
They 'may' be able to be fitted without spacers...they'll just sit 9mm further in towards the suspension.
They look to have tapered seated bolt holes so 'may' be able to be fitted without longer rear studs if fitted without spacers?
I've never had any BWA alloys before and I can find very little info for 5X112PCD versions so no idea what load rating they may be.

Re: Mystery alloys
Update:
Alloys purchased and fitted with 6mm spacers all-round.
Front 50mm stud conversion.
Rear 50mm rear studs.
Centre caps from Mk1 Golf.
Can't believe the improvement in handling, especially in cross-winds.
Now should I keep the centre caps black or go all 'alloy'???
