:ok hi the oil pump on my 1.9 dg engine sounds a bit bad.i was wondering how hard is it to fit the new one.and can it be fitted with the engine in the van.i know you need a oil pump pulley which i have got and all so got the new oil pump can any one give me any pointers thanks.

It's all in the Haynes manual. Yes you can do it in the van. Why do you need a new pulley ? You need to fit new nuts on the pump plate (or is it bolts, it was a long time ago when I "played" with mine).

I have not ever heard of a WBX oil pump making funny noises though, not saying it ain't, but it's very unusual !

I think he means puller.
Remember to slacken off the crankcase nuts around the oil pump before you pull it out.

But are you sure it is the oil pump making noises?
