Reversing switch cam in gearbox broken?
1983 (i.e. early) 1.9 Water cooled T25. I have now broken two reversing light switches and it seems that the cam in the gearbox which operates the switch has actually broken and has a sharp edge which is breaking the switch domed end follower. Has anyone had the same problem and do you know of a solution other than a replacement gearbox or fitting a manual switch to turn the reversing light on which is not really a very good solution. All ideas welcome!

swap the whole selector shaft, can be done without stripping the box
