what part am I missing on the engine

what part am I missing on the engine

I refitted my exhaust today after painting it on my 2.0 Aircooled engine the engine has metal pipe each side that you connect to the exhaust and a pipe next to it that goes up to the engine. the one on the passenger side is missing leave a hole.... Any idea what this is please?

Are we discussing the heating duct?

The metal pipe should connect to the plastic pipes shown below. The fan on the alternator sucks cool air through the rubber boot. Blows it down the plastic pipes, then the metal ones attached to the heat exchangers. From there is fights its way to the cab vents via the heater pods & the fat ducting under the van.
How many other bits are you missing? :wink:

If it's the metal section that's missing replace it with some silicone ducting.

If it's the plastic bit you could probably bodge it with some ducting and some duct tape.
