heater

Post by dub1670 »

good evening all, having problems with blower, in that it doesnt blow.
heres a picture of the controls:

Image

take it works off wires opening flaps and turning a motor on. i've checked the fuses and none seem to be blown.
does the engine have to be running in order for it to be working.
can anyone please point me in the direction of checks and fault finding.

cheers

It would help if you were to state what engine you have. Presumably that is an Aircooled control panel.

That's why it would help knowing what engine he has! (I have another switch on mine beside the panel for the rear blower that was)

Get some baby wipes on the steering wheel for goodness sake. Thats criminal. :D

Looks as though to get any volume of fresh air up front, you'll just have to drive faster. Doesn't look like you have a blower on that model. I'm assuming Aircooled engine too. All those levers do is open relevant flaps.

hi yer its Aircooled engine. so i'd imagine that it'll work by blowing hot air up the tube under the wagon to the cab.

Clean the heat exchangers with a jet wash or similar to make sure they're oil free and get your heating working and with no leaks (ie all pipes on) so you don't have any issues in the winter. My tip for you. Last thing you need is to be working under it in snow later in the year ;)

They should make those. "Big hairy trucker wipes" - for those nooks and crannies no one likes to discuss - at least not in public.
