Right spent, this afternoon in the sun stripping all the household insulation fitted by the past owner, i also managed to snap the new issue i have spotted up front.

When i have flap disc'ed the sealant off i have gone a tad too far unfortunately :x Have I properly balls'd up or can i get away with rust proofing and welding in the new panel in and running a small bead of sealant. I will point out i am holding the gap open in the picture its sits flush otherwise.

well i would weld the split up with gas... failing that can you braze? you realkly dont want to leave that and rely on sealant as it will come back and nip you sooner than expected
