Alternator bearings

Post by Jakemate »

I know it's a long shot but I've had a weird noise appear from the engine area, found out the alternator bearings have a couple of mm play up and down.

Does anyone know where I can get replacement bearings ?

It's a 90amp with rev counter takeoff.

Thanks :)

I just wander to my local bearing stockist and ask for a couple of newuns - he wanders off with his micrometer and brings me a couple back! I've used them for over 30 years and they have never failed me yet.
