Oil light on

Post by daryl7441 »

Evening all. Got a 1981 Devon camper with a an AAZ 1.9td engine. New to the group so forgive me if my gob runs away with me. Only had the van less than a week so sorting out all those little problems. My oil pressure light is permanently on so i checked my feed to the oil pressure switch on the filter housing. guess what? cant find any wire to it. Am i missing something or is there another switch somewhere? I appreciate any help given. Thanks very much.

Hello,

Welcome to the forum :ok Camper is looking good :D

I have little knowledge of the AAZ, but I'm sure someone will be along soon with some useful advice :D

There's usually one switch at the bottom of the sump, and maybe a switch up top (one for low and one for high pressure), but certain there should be a wire going to each!?

Cheers,
Richard

I have the 1.6 td the oil pressure switch is at the top of the engine at the rear of the head and the second one (if fitted) is on the oil filter housing.
