Diesel 1.6T issue
I have an 87 transporter with a JX engine. So I had a cracked injector line, so I got a new set. I installed the new set of lines and now I can't take the engine above idle without it sounding like it's out of time. Is there something I am missing. I have had these lines out before without any issues. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: Diesel 1.6T issue
Have you tried bleeding it again? Only just bought a second van which is a diesel, thus I have zero experience with them. However, I've years of experience with tractors and that would be my first plan of action. Start it up, and then just undo each injector a little until a full flow of fuel appears. Not even looked in my Diesel engine bay is I've no idea how accessible the injectors are. Others with more experience will be along soon. Fingers crossed. Mitch.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Years of experience with tractors...
Good job a certain Mocki hasn't seen this.
Good advice about cracking off each injector pipe though, and making sure a bit of lovely diesel squirts out....it happened when i replaced the injector pipes on my jx...
Dead easy to get at on the jx

Re: Diesel 1.6T issue
I found the issue. The day I discovered the cracked fuel line I had washed my engine. Well, when I pulled the lines and was waiting for the new ones, some moisture got in the injectors. I guess it does not take long for rust to form. One of the injector pins was stuck. I cleaned it up and back to normal. It's amazing what little it took to cause such a big problem. Thanks for the feedback it got me pointing in the right direction.
