Hi does anyone know of a good honest mechanic in the SW London area please.?

Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

hi been told i need a new engine so need someone to look at it and possible strip it for me? had a compression test done and number 4 was only 75psi

New engine..?
I don't think so...someone is yanking your chain there. :D

You just need some new barrels and pistons.
It can be done with the engine in place.

I have had no dealings of them, do this is not a recommendation, it is just to make you aware they are there.
There is a VW campervan hire company in Streatham that has it's own mechanic that sometimes does work for outside customers. Might be worth talking to.

Yes i know them just around the corner i have never used them but i heard they were good so i recommended them to someone and i do not know the full story but i heard they messed up there engine so im a bit reluctant to use them,would of been perfect otherwise he is the next street from me

Thanks rang olly going to be about a grand to do valves ? prob gonna go for a new engine :(
