Oil leak 2.0 Aircooled 1980

Hi
Can anyone give me some advise on getting my oil leak fixed !! Need any local person/ garage to Birmingham to have a look and quote for the repair.

You should try and identify where the leak is first.
If it's a rocker cover, a new gasket is about £1.50 and fitting it takes ten minutes and no tools.
If it's a split oil cooler it could cost you hundreds.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Thanks boxy , it looks to be coming from around the oil filter area maybe push rods ??? Would like to get a professional opinion though as I'm no expert lol

Oil filter area could be oil cooler as it's directly above the filter, as is the oil pressure switch which can leak. If it was pushrods you should be able to see something with a torch and small mirror.

it looks to be coming from around the oil filter

Try taking the filter off. Make sure the can hasn't been pinged by a stone. Then clean the seal and screw the filter back on. I had a leak from my van when I first got it because the filter was less than hand tight.
