OK, here we go again!

Was working fine for a while, the other evening I turned it on and all was well, after a while the fan started to slow down though and the red light came on-on the control unit.

Now I have nothing. Switch the power on for just fan and nothing, switch the heat on and after approx. five seconds I get a click followed by a sort of light squeak for several seconds then it clicks off again.

I have since replaced some more wiring, I get between 12.81 and 13v at the control unit, but this drops down to 11.51v when the control unit clicks. Where am I going now?

I am measuring the voltage from the two lives that go in to one connector on the control unit.

Thanks again.

The voltage drop indicates that the glow plug is taking power.
Are you getting any clicks from the pump at that point? If not check the pump wiring.

I have three lives to the control unit, I'm thinking it may be an idea to run a whole new live and earth to the unit, and may even move my battery under the rock and roll right next to it. Which live is the main one? :(

OK, the squeaking is coming from the eber itself, no clicking from pump either :(

You should only have 2 lives, one thick, one thin, going to the same terminal on the ecu. Are you meaning that there are some coming from it in a different colour to the main red ones?

You haven't dropped something into the heating air intake and jammed the fan? The squeaking may be that or a bearing is seizing.
Are you using the manual for troubleshooting?

There are several points that have at least 12.8v to it, one has two wires leading in to one and the others are single wires.

I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow circling what has live.

Surely the others are coming from the ecu, not going to it.

I tested all connections with control unit unplugged, or is that not the ecu?

What do you mean by 'control unit' then?

That is the ecu.
I am getting confused now - how have you tested the connections when they are disconnected from the ecu?
Only connection no.8 should have positive to it any where else is wrong unless you are measuring a positive from the ecu.
Are you following the wiring diagram in the manual?

Testing the connections without the ecu plugged in with my multimeter in the end of the spades there is live to 1, 8 and I think 10 also but will double check tomorrow.
