Both say clockwise! Once the tab is in position it can only put tension on the belt by being turned clockwise. You cannot keep going to that upper position shown above due to the limit stop inside the tensioner, I can only think that that tensioner was put on without the tab being in its locating hole and so is incorrect.

Your right, this guys is the same also. The wording on the injection page with that 1.9 picture made me question it.

Don't know - mine had a single belt when I got it and I have kept to it when I upgraded to a 1.9.

I'll take some pics today, has he left the double one off and just kept the single?, mines a double with power steering but it has a single pulley under it, like the double is a converter rather than a replacement.
