Engine hatch locks

Post by gasman78 »

Does anyone know if you can still get the locks for a type 25 engine hatch? Long story short, I fitted a new seal to the engine hatch and it was a bit 'fatter' than the outgoing and the hatch took more persuasion to close, and over time the engine hatch lock handles fatigued and are now both beggared. Annoying as it is my fault, but hey! I contemplated drilling the hole through and fashioning a new handle but would rather get something more original.

Second hand only i think now

Well worth drilling right through the latches to pinch the handle up tighter when you find a replacement

if you still have the latch id drill through and get a large metal jump ring, something a bit like this...
