Hi folks.
My leisure battery is not getting any charge from the van when the engine is running, that I'm happy I can sort by installing a split charge, however when I'm on electric hook up through a zig unit I'm not getting much more then 8v to the leisure battery. This means that I'm only giving 8v to the fridge and that's not enough to power it properly. I did think that it was a problem with the fridge to start with so got a replacement one
I'm starting to think that my zig may have seen better days.
Has anyone had anything like this or have any suggestions as where I could be going wrong. Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hook up and leisure batt issues
Are you sure it's not the actual leisure battery that is measuring 8v? The zig I had many moons ago had fuses in it. Have you removed and tested the fuses?
Time is a drug. Too much of it kills you

Thanks for the reply.
All the fuses in the zig are ok.
I disconnected the leads from the zig to battery at the battery end and measured the voltage there (not connected to the battery). That's where I was getting the 8v.
On a separate not I'm sure the battery has had it as well, it's back on charge now and I'll take it to GSF in the morning to get it tested properly.
