Looking to buy a replacement alternator for my van. 1.9 dg currently fitted with 023903025A 45A alt. Found lots of aftermarket replacements at what look like good prices. Anyone got any experience of Cevam products? Never heard of them myself. Also found Valeo units at fairly good prices. Any helpful comments gratefully received.
Cheers

Plenty of decent aftermarket parts around and Valeo are one of the biggest - never heard of Cevam

Re: Replacement alternator - non oem.
Valeo's OEM to a LOT of manufacturers - definitely a trustworthy brand.
CEVAM - never heard of, but a quick google doesn't scare me too badly.
http://www.cevam.com/index.php/en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - seems to be a fairly long-standing French remanufacturer for Valeo and GKN.
If it's a big price difference, and budget's important, I'd be tempted by the CEVAM over a used unknown.

Thanks to both of you for useful comments - I have also the found Lucas equivalent online for circa £60ish plus exchange deposit so a bit more comfortable now. We only do 1500 to 2000 miles a year and the price difference is definately not to be sniffed at.
