Switch relay

Post by garry247 »

I have a Zig unit and a 3 position switch:
1. Car battery: this is connected to the split charge and only delivers power when the engine is running so i can power the fridge
2. off position
3. Leisure battery.

My question is i would like to add a Ctek MXS25 which has a live feed. I want to connect it via a switch/relay to connection 3 on the zig. My idea is that whilst im not connected to a hookup i would be using the leisure battery but if i connected the hookup the switch would get the power from the Ctek and it would switch over to that power source rather then the Leisure battery.

What type of switch/relay would i need?

cheers,

G

Think i have managed to answer my own question.

I found this: http://www.vehicleelectricsshop.co.uk/p ... _AMPS.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its a change over repay.

It looks like i can do what i want so now i can run off the leisure battery but if i get hooked up and flick on my fuse box i will be switched over to the CTEK feed.

super cool.
