Signs of water jacket leaking?

I noticed dark stains around the top of the rubber water jacket seal on the n/s upper area of the head. see pics. Im assuming this could be coolant leaking slightly? [attachment=-1]uploadfromtaptalk1398606564686.jpg[/attachment]

Yes the pink on pic 2 and white deposits are the giveaway to it being coolant but don't asume its the seal without checking other sources
Check that the inlet manufold hoses above are not leaking onto to it

Ahh you have a good point, after scrabbling around underneath I think ill get it on some ramps to see properly from underneath.

Yes pipes can also squirt up from below but gravity usually means it will drip from above
