Re: gears
Cheapest place to get correct gearbox oil is Wilco of all places although they recently put fancier labels on all their motoring fluids and increased the prices which is a bit of a shame.
GL4 - correct stuff - £3.50 http://www.wilko.com/car-maintenance/co ... gear%20oil" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Aidan recommends avoiding GL5 although I must admit, thats whats been in mine for last four years. Will probably disintegrate tomorrow.

Re: gears
I've got exactly the same problem - it has got progressively worse over the last couple of weeks and so I'm gonna tackle it tomorrow. Gearbox oil is good, so any particular brake/clutch fluid recommended?
