Reverse light

Hi all, I am looking to fit a reversing light on to the rear bumper. The van in question has no reversing lights ,however the reverse light switch is still on the gearbox minus the wiring. Is it a case of running a wire from the battery to the switch and then on to the light . Thanks in advance

Yes it is but make surethe 12 v supply is fused
