Never thought about measuring toe from the outside. I guess either would work although if you measure internally, the gizmo is a lot easier to store when not in use. The camber guage is great. You won't be far out with that. You'll often see guys messing for ages with floor tiles under each wheel on cars and buckets of water etc to get the vehicle perfectly level but thats ok on some street racer. For a T25 you just need to be within a few mil thats all. Its rather fortunate that stock camber is perfectly vertical - makes is so much simpler.

Cheers covkid, i rebuilt my gearstick assebly last night using your thread, great stuff. Gonna do the linkage bushes and fit new cup tonight and try and squeeze some hydraulic pipe over the gearstick forks! Its tight, i think you mentioned to use 16 mm pipe, i found some lying about i'm guessing its a little under 16mm as its so tight, might have to resort to putting the pipe pieces into some vboiling water to soften things up!

I'll get those poweflex bushes ordered up next week and keep you posted with the results. Appart form the obvious danger of driving with worn bushes, is there a danger of the bushes completly 'going' and losing complete control of the van? The van just passed the mot over here and the bushes wern't mentioned at all.

Just remember that the MOT can never be regarded as an indication of how safe it is to drive in practice since so many factors come into play. I've also come across many vehicles that in my view should not be on the road but have a full and technically valid MOT. Its a very basic test.

Unlikely they would become completely detached without you experiencing serious problems before that. The antirollbar is probably creeping from side to side a little by now though which makes it feel 'less positive' if I can put it like that. 'Unstable' perhaps a better word.
