Horn fuse

Post by what2do »

Hi, when I pressed the horn on new to me van, it 'tooted' for a fraction of a second and now no longer works. I then noticed that the clock isn't working - do they share a fuse? I could brave the wet and find the Haynes in the van, but......

Thanks in advance, mitch.

Horn has its own fuse number 16 and is a 15A, Haynes circuit shown dual tone horn with relay so is not helpful, horn push is ground, the horn itself has the 12v supply

clock is on fuse number 3 with radio and interior lights, fag lighter and is also 15A

Well thats a petrol guessing its the same for diesel, you dont need to brave the haynes wiring diagrams its written on the plastic fuse cover

Maybe all those chav leds ? :rofl

When my horn became intermittent I found that there is a wire at the bottom of the steering column that attaches to a spade connector. Mine was very loose so I nipped it up a bit with some pliers and it now is a tight fit, the horn also works properly now.

at for the input. By being brave, I meant going outdoors whilst it was tipping it down!
