Gear linkage woes.

Post by what2do »

Hi all, could someone please clarify for me the difference between two kits offered by Brickwerks. Apologies for not supplying links but bare with me. They both appear to be suitable for a 14 mm lever, however the confusing part for me is that one is priced at £24.30 and the other supposedly budget version is priced at £31.90. I don't mind paying extra, I'd just like to get it ordered ASAP in preparation for this weekend. Advice most gratefully accepted! mitch
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Its all on the webshop, cheaper kit is better quality but doesnt have all the extra bits you probably dont need
so get the better quality one

pretty much says that here

. In any event its a cheaper kit than the one previously stocked and to be honest, some of the parts in the original larger kit may not have been needed anyway.

For reference, if you look below, the new kit now includes everything from left to right up to and including the base plate but the spring and grubscrew collar on the right is not in the kit. Chances are, yours will be fine anyway.
