Strange wiper issue
Afternoon guys, i have just changed the wiper motor and drivers side spindle on the van, all went back together well and wipers aligned correctly - the issue is on intermitent the wiper will stopin random places, on slow or fast once turned off the wipers do not return they just stop where the are. I have tried a no.99 relay from the T4 but just the similar issues. Could it just be a new no.19 relay required or is there something else i should be looking for
thanks in advance

Re: Strange wiper issue
The motor assembly has a switch in it that maintains power to the motor until it is back at its 'rest' position.
Do the wipers return to the 'rest' position when you operate the wipers on slow or fast?

Re: Strange wiper issue
the wipers were stopping where they felt like it on slow or fast, so took dash out again, had a cuppa and a tab or two, set the wipers off again and thet were stopping and returning each time to vertical. had another cuppa a flick through Bentley, disconected motor from assembley and ran to stop - reconnected assembley with the bar aiming to 3 o'clock - put dash back in etc - hey presto all working- tried relay 99 from T4 again now have an adjustable intermitent aswell
although the brown clip on washer stalk had slipped so each ttime wipers used the winscreen got a wash
