Thanks dazco,
Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan.
I've found a place in Bolton that will rent a ramp for £10.00 per hour or £50.00 for eight hours.
I may as well underseal it whilst I'm there, if time allows.
I thought there would be more places that rented out ramps as it's a good idea but they seem few and far between.
I found one in Manchester that wanted £20.00 plus vat per hour. Seems steep to me.
The only problem is that they don't have a hydraulic lift for the gearbox to go on once it's coming out.
I'll have to devise something else.

Re: Oil overfill
Gearbox out and that's all for today.
Just a couple of questions;
What should I use to clean up the spilt oil in the bell housing? Degreaser etc
Is it worth changing the release bearing?
Do I need to empty the engine oil, prior to changing flywheel oil seal?
Should I replace the gearbox input shaft seal?
Many thanks

the release bearing is a must do
use gunk to do the degreasing

Re: Oil overfill
use elbow grease from the pound shops in town loads better than gunk
Re: Oil overfill
Ok, I'll head down there now and ask for a large tub of elbow grease.

Update
The crankshaft oil seal and gearbox input shaft seal have been replaced. No major sign of leaking though as I would have expected for the amount of oil in the bell housing.
All parts cleaned up and just waiting for my order from Brickwerks to arrive.
I ordered new flywheel bolts, a new spiggot bearing (the other had disintegrated again) and the felt seal for the rear of the flywheel that was missing.
Had a very helpful conversation with Aiden Talbot who was as friendly as always.
Luckily no oil had contaminated the clutch and this was new only a thousand miles ago.
Hoping to put it all back together ASAP and my wife wants to go away at weekend. NO PRESSURE THERE THEN!!!
