Recommendation of winter tyres

I found that by changing to 15" merc steelies, i had a far wider selection of tyres available to me and consequently at better prices. Worth thinking about long term. Many of the merc steelies do in fact look identical to the stock VW ones and the speedo also ran more accurately which was a bonus. I used to have to really ask around to get 14" tyres but there are so many commercial vehicles that use 15", you have a massive choice.
