Naughty sliding door ggrrr

Post by xpertbert »

I'm having issues with the sliding door. I have to be very carefull when opening. The door opens a couple of inches then is quite stiff. It's popped out the bottom the bottom runner about 4 times since having her (8 days), It seems to me it is the middle runners and connecting arm that doesn't run free around the first stage of opening it. There is loads of grease on the runners...

The bottom sliding door bracket can be adjusted by the three bolts that attach it to the door. I had bend the right angle back in to mine, it seemed that it slightly misshape over time but try adjusting it first before doing something that drastic.

Have you had the cover off that protects the middle roller that runs just below the side window? It's possible that you may have some corrosion around the track, this can cause the track to twist a little making it hard for the roller to run smoothly .

err if its popped ! slid off/out the bottom runner then i would look at the horizontal roller on the bottom first, maybe missing ?the steel above that form the guide for it is 14g so not usually an issue but there could also be wear/holes in the steel that the lowwer vert roller traverses. but my money in the absense of the xstal ball (please return it) then i would go with my first suggestion based on your dsescription
