hose clamps radiator

Post by Sir Brixalot »

I'm about to go for one f those cheap rads as a spare. Does anyone know what size clamps are needed for the two hoses that connect at the bottom. I've used jubilee clips but they leak slightly

Thanks a lot. I suspected I would be told to get off my backside and have a look! Someone told me to use clamps instead of the spring clips??

My original spring clips are still doing a good job on my radiator hose, despite some crude removal processes
If they are good enough for VW....

no pinching or overtightening with spring clips :ok

I must admit it is tempting to bin them as you look and think...that's just not tight enough, thankfully my temptation remained unquenched as there were no other suitable clips in my cupboard of doom, so they went back on several years ago

Not binned any of mine just in case but have swapped many for jubilees as getting them on/off in some locations is very hard and the rad is one of those hard locations
not had problems with jubilees leaking but i did buy good quality clips
