...and mine arrived this morning - thanks Keith.

I'm glad to see you faithfully copied the asymmetric position of the slot. I've fitted it such that the narrower side of the slot is on the lower side, closest to the alternator body. When I first put it on I had it the other way up, and with it being a longer bracket than the original the top fouled the bulge in the alternator housing when the bolt was slid down the slot. When it's mounted as per the photo it clears nicely. And as you can see, the mounting bolt is nicely in the middle of the slot now, so I should be able to cope with a new (unstretched) short belt or an old (stretched) long belt.

I managed to drop the nut from the lower bolt while I was doing this, and it ended up lodged between the pulley and the engine block. It was a bugger to get out!
