Hi all,i have a propex heater in my van it's the 1200 compact i think.every thing is working apart from it does not give out any heat [does not flame up] there is plenty of gas to it.Can anyone help ??.

I'm not sure if this will help, but bottom left in this photo is the solenoid that cuts off the gas. If your Propex is basically the same I'd start by checking if the solenoid is working.


2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Check which model it is, I personally have not heard of a 1200 compact.
Stripping the case of isn't a 2 minute job as it is sealed with hi temp silicone sealer. This, after stripping, has to be cleaned off and of course replaced.
What are the symptoms ? What does it do when you turn it on to heat (rather than fan only) ? Can you hear a click a second or two after you turn it on ?
If it sounds like it is all "running" and does not "shut down" by itself after 30 seconds, then it might be just a wiring issue (as normally, when the burner is "supposed" to be on, but it doesn't fire up, it is designed to automatically switch off, for safety).

Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here
