Converting an automatic petrol van to manual diesel

Hi all, can anybody give me a few ideas on this please?

Reason I ask is that I have seen a van for sale with decent body work, suspension, brakes etc but it's an automatic petrol and the gearbox seems knackered. I currently own a manual diesel van that has average body work and needs a complete overhaul of the brakes, suspension, bushes etc.

I wouldn't be doing the conversion myself but would be nice to know if it's a relatively simple job providing I should have most stuff for the conversion already.
