1.9 DG injection?

Hi, just wondering if any one has ever attempted to put all of the injection stuff from a 2.1 onto a 1.9? Is it even possible?

It would be possible, but most folks go the opposite way, ie take it off the 2.1 and fit a DG carb !

I used to have Imps / Chamois - I had a (1100cc iirc) "Skip Brown" tuned engine on twin Strombergs + fancy rear mounted exhaust = very nice. The motor had a steel plate "sandwich" affair between the head and sump, with external clamping bolts, to prevent the usual head gasket problems that even a std motor has.

mines a 1.9 injection (digijet). so yes it exists! mine is a factory DH engine, available in US and australian markets at least.

goes very nicely too i dont know if its the same ecu as the 2.1 dj or not..

injecting a DG 1.9 would turn it into a GW 1.9
to go with it would be an increase in BHP.

Ok, so would it be a case of swapping the bits off of a 2.1 to do this?

I have i 1.9DG with injection i have just pulled out for a gti conversion. Would have been a gw originally but all the injection stuff is factory fit. Ran well but had a gasket weep so will be available cheap when i get my bottom into gear and do some pictures.
