Running problems

Post by jedijeff »

Hi, I have a 1980 t25 devon 2 air cooled Automatic with 69k. Had a couple of issues with the van just cutting out and not starting. Over the last 3 months I've had to have the dreaded breakdown men out 3 times. I've spent a small fortune on full service , fuel pipes/filters replaced. It's a bit of a mystery it will run fine with no signs of anything, start on the first turn. Just done a weekend vdub meet. Then yesterday I gave her a run to work all was well then on my way home a mile into the journey I pull up at some lights and she just stopped and would not restart. Numerous attempts failed and I was taken home. Tried van when I got home and she started but then stopped after a minute. Tried again this morning with no gain. Any help would be much welcomed as I feel I'm throwing money at her all the time and not solving the problem.
