What distributor have I got

Post by Watchman »

Hi Folks

Rushed into buying a set of pouints and rotor arm and condenser from e bay with out really reading the advert

So I now have the bits but dont know if I can fit them on my T25 1987 transporter

The system reqiurements are

•009 Distributor
•034 Distributor
•Pinto Distributor

How do I tell if I have one of the above??

Thanks from Stupid of Essex

It should have had electronic ignition originally. So if you have got points then the distributor has been changed so you could have anything a picture would help
009 is a an all centrifugal advance without any vacuum advance.
034 is a points centrifugal and single vacuum advance distributor the points should be the same as a for the 009 unless it came off a pre 1971 engine.
Pinto Bosch distributors used the same points but the opposite hand so some people call them Pinto points.
