Got the horn today

Post by Bucketbabe »

Hope this question is in the right place :?:

Got into the van at work today, turned the ignition on, was startled by the horn blaring for quite a few seconds.
My hands were not on the wheel at the time.
I'm sure I've been some sort of total muppet, but how?
Or do I have a problem?
Drive home was uneventful.

Cheers guys

Standard steering wheel or have you fitted something else? chances are the issue lies with the horn contacts/ring behind the steering wheel. Just be aware that if this is non standard be careful not to burn out the wiring with shorts.

Thanks Martin. Van fairly new to me, but looks to be standard.
I'll try to be careful with my burning shorts.
