Hi lee

Diagram in the wiki
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Pe ... ring_order" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

to check the dizzy is in right you need to follow this as taken from haynes

Find the timing notches on the crank pulley rim the narrow notch closest to the engine is the timing mark the wider notch on the outer rim is top dead centre TDC
remove no1 spark plug
turn engine clockwise with a socket on the crank while placing your finger over the spark plug hole, when you feel a build up of pressure thats the compression, continue to rotate clockwise until the timing mark is at the top
Take the cap of the dizzy and the rotor arm should align with the lead connecting to plug 1 and he notch in the dizzy body
if its not the dissy needs rotating by releasing the pinch bolt

yours is a points dizzy and from memory is slightly diferent from the originla dizzy the engine would have had

if this all looks OK then check you have 12V on the black wire to the coil and if i remember corectly you have no earth to the block by the dizzy so worth adding one to the body ( it should earth ok from the gearbox but worth doing)
remove the plugs lay them on the engine and get somebody to crank while you look, you should see blue sparks

if thats ok then check you have fuel

did you get a new dizzy cap I think you have the wrong one there are two types of leads and caps

Hope you get it going soon otherwise i'm going to end up coming back :D

cheers
