when you say "out", do you mean it comes away from the handle, like a lock set in a house door? if so, how does it come out, it seems very tightly in?

We had all the locks for Vs van rebuilt to accept the same key after they were broken. I seem to remember it wasn't that expensive 120quid for all the locks.

Doesn't look like a T25 handle.

Looks more like this.

Hi,

Sorry only just seen this post.

Looking for the key code and getting a key cut to this lock is Not the way to go.

Have you sent the handle back? & are you happy with it?
If yes....
Has it got a lock cylinder fitted?

If it has, it can be re-wafered (this is a wafer lock and contains wafers which correspond to the cuts of the key) to your main key, so all locks are the same and you only have one key not a bunch.

Whilst this out of the van it is the best time and easiest time to re-key it.
This is not particularly hard to do, and can be done by any competent locksmith or even a keen DIYer.
If you are good with your hands and can manage small delicate intricate work? I could talk you thru it (but the success would depend on like wafers or it will be necessary to file some to fit or just leave some out). Or
If you were down my way (Essex) you could pop by, failing that you could send it to me (but I would require a key to change it to and frankly I wouldn't expect you send a stranger a key to your van!!).

Up to you, happy to help if required?
Or...
As its already out of the van you could just take it to a decent locksmiths and ask them to re-key it to your main key. This wont be that expensive and should only take the locksmith an absolute maximum of 1/2 hour an hour (should be alot less i.e 10 mins) to complete.

Hope it helps?

Let me know if you need any assistance?
